Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Conceived Through IVF
Two kids for the price of one?
A source told Us magazine that famous couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have taken a shortcut to get their twins Vivienne and Knox.
“They conceived through in vitro fertilization,” an insider revealed to the magazine. “They both desperately wanted more babies soon.”
The chance of having fraternal twins at the 33-year-old actress’ age is under 1 percent. However, with in vitro fertilization, the chances are 25 percent.
“We live in an era of reproductive freedom, so anybody can do anything they want within legal limits,” a doctor told the magazine.
The actress chose the procedure (which can cost around $12,000 per ) so “she wouldn’t have to deal with the stress of trying to get pregnant. She could just knock it out...They were too impatient,” a source said.
Knox and Vivienne were born in Nice, France on July 12. They are the couple’s fifth and sixth children.
