Catherine Zeta Jones: Attends funeral without husband and kids

Catherine Zeta-Jones attended her grandmother's funeral in Swansea today.

The actress, 38, joined family and friends at St Peter’s church in Ravenhill to bid farewell to the 91-year-old.

During the half-hour service she read out 'Granny Zeta’s' favourite poem Daffodils by William Wordsworth.

Catherine attended the service without husband Michael Douglas, 63, and their kids Dylan, 8, and Carys, 5.

She was accompanied by her parents and 150 mourners.

Zeta Jones died last week at a local hospital.

Actress is flying to Britain to be with her family

Catherine Zeta-Jones has been left heartbroken by the death of her beloved gran.

The actress was extremely close to the 91-year-old widow, who she called ‘Granny Zeta’.

It is thought Catherine, 38, will leave LA and fly back to Britain in the next 24 hours to be with her family.

A neighbour, who lived near the old lady in Swansea, Wales, said she was a joy to be around.

‘Mrs Jones was extremely popular round here,’ Mike Thomas tells the Daily Mirror.

‘Always chatting to people, very proud to talk about Catherine, but never going on about it too much.’

Catherine is married to actor Michael Douglas, 63.

Shunning a bikini in favour of a floaty maxi dress last week, Catherine Zeta Jones must’ve hoped that prying eyes wouldn’t notice her protruding tummy. But then she was caught out.

‘She was doing her best to cover up,’ says an onlooker who saw her on the beach in Saint-Tropez with husband Michael Douglas on 29 July.

‘But the wind caught her dress and suddenly you could see her bump. She was clambering down the rocks extra carefully, too, and Michael was fussing over her.’

Catherine, 38, had said that her family was complete with a boy and a girl, but it looks as though she might’ve given in to Michael, 63, who was said to be keen for one more. The couple already have a son Dylan, 7, and daughter Carys, 5, but Catherine has let slip her desire for a bigger family in the past.
