Lauren Conrad: “I’m Not a Tortured Soul”

The Hills Lauren Conrad says there’s more to her than tears and anger.

“I know I look tortured...I’m not a tortured soul,” she tells the September issue of CosmoGirl.

“But, it’s a TV show and you don’t see all sides of people,” the reality star adds.

“The Hills is meant to be a dramatic show about relationships,” Conrad said. “It’s not about me being a designer. No one wants to see me working at the factory on my collection, or me and Lo [Bosworth] having a dance party in our pajamas.”

However, Conrad isn’t so easygoing about all of the aspects that come with fame.

“Can you imagine being 22 and having your parents know everything about you?” she asks the magazine.

“Literally, my mom can go on the Internet and find out where I went last night, who I was with. I mean, there are no secrets!”

Conrad’s clothing line was recently dropped from L.A. boutique Kitson because, they say, she did not promote it enough.

Lauren Conrad’s Fashion Line Dropped from Kitson

Have fans OD’d on LC? After only six months, Lauren Conrad’s clothing line has been dropped from the West Hollywood hot spot Kitson.

“Sales were lackluster,” Kitson store owner Fraser Ross announced Wednesday. “Initially it was great.”

Ross claims the 22-year-old Hills’ star failed to make any personal appearances to promote the line, which included simple yet pricey cotton dresses and tanks retailing for as much as $165.

“They need to realize it’s no different than selling your album, your TV shows, your movies,” he said. “You have to keep promoting it.”

Conrad’s nemesis Heidi Montag seems to be faring better in the fashion biz. As of now, her fall line Heidiwood is still set to debut at Kitson and Anchor Blue.

I personally believe that celebrities should always promote what they set out to do. With anything it does take a lot  of work and dedication. This was a huge opportunity for her to keep her things moving off the racks. I like her brand, but how can we believe in it if she does not show that she does!

Lauren Conrad Googles Her Dates

The Hill’s star Lauren Conrad puts the internet to good use checking out potential dates on google before committing.

“Yeah, all of them!” she told the PopSugar network. “But I don’t believe everything I read though. I Google pictures to see ex-girlfriends and stuff.”

Conrad split from longtime boyfriend Jason Wahler in 2006 and has been swinging single with Hills co-stars Lo Bosworth and Audrina Patridge ever since.

“I have really gotten a chance to see who my true friends are and who is going to be there for me, you know, no matter what?” she tells the website. “Like [Lo] is one of my best friends from high school, and [Audrina] obviously has always been there for me.”

The 22-year-old also admitted that celebrity crushes George Clooney and Brad Pitt are “getting better with age.”

The fourth season of The Hills premieres in August.
