John Mayer's Latest Attachment Is...

John Mayer thinks of his twitter account as substitute relationship.

The 'Gravity' hitmaker, who was rumored to have been dumped by actress Jennifer Aniston because of his obsession with the social networking website, admits interacting with other users of the micro-blogging site can be as satisfying as going on a date. Explaining his new song 'Half of My Heart', he said: "It's about questions of, do I want to share my desires with someone else or do I just want to sate them myself with my laptop and my Twitter account?"

"Knowing that I could blog right now from my iPhone and it's up on the internet with people reading it and responding to it. How much is that a synthetic version of having dinner with somebody? How intimidating must it be to try to find an 'in' with the man who is consistently satisfying himself by all means necessary? Where is her place in that?"

The singer, who has been linked to Aniston, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, DEmi Lovato and a host of others, believes romantic relationships are difficult because they need dedicated time.

He added to The London Times newspaper: "Interpersonal relationships are not bookmarks. You don't go to load all tabs, 'How was your day honey?' You don't go, 'You know what, I'm gonna put this conversation with the woman I love on my iPod and listen to it on the subway'. You have to be present, in this synthetic, listen-later sort of world."

John Mayer Getting His Own Variety Show?

Groan. The President of CBS Entertainment, Nina Tassler, has just confirmed to Access Hollywood that John Mayer's long-rumored variety show (which was his idea) is "being developed now" and that "it'll be a music / variety / sketch sort of thing." They're planning on shooting the pilot as soon as possible, get some feedback, and then develop the show from there.

Can't John just stick to what he's good at? Looking incredibly sexy while strumming his guitar with awe-inducing ability?

Tassler seems to be very excited about the show, saying that Mayer is "so multi-talented," "very funny," "really smart," and "has a great personality." Tone down the lip service, Nina, I hear Jennifer Aniston can be pretty territorial when it comes to her men.

This won't be Mayer's first shot at television. In 2004, VH1 aired one episode of "John Mayer Has a TV Show," where fans got a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the Grammy Award-winning artist's life. Despite the famous clip of Mayer dressing in a bear suit and talking to unsuspecting fans before one of his concerts that came from the show, it never made it to a second episode. The new show is predicted to be a success, however, and will likely turn into a series.

She can't act, she looks like a haggard old broad, and she can't keep a man...CLAASSSYYY...), so she decided it was time to polish off her "Ah's soooo in lurveeees" gaze and bring John Mayer out for a little "surprise candid photo shoot with the paparazzi."

If these pictures were black and white, they would look exactly like those fake photos that come with new frames.

And with such good genes running in his family – his granddad and both mum and dad Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas are all Oscar-winning actors - the youngster is already convinced that he has what it takes to make it to the top.

Mum Catherine has revealed that when her son decided to take up acting classes, he wanted to make sure that his teacher knew just how much potential he had.

"My son went to his first drama lesson and he turned to his teacher and said, 'Don't worry, I'm a really good actor. It's in my genes'," she says.

John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston's split after just 4 months together wasn't unexpected but what happened?

'There's no lying, there's no cheating, there's no nothing,' says John, 30.

'Jennifer Aniston is the smartest, most sophisticated person I think I have ever met.'

Weird, calling Jen, 39, by her surname an' all - and the phrase 'there's no nothing'. Were they every really together?

Whatever the truth, John says their hormones simply didn't mingle in the right way.

'People are different, people have different chemistry,' he told reporters outside his gym, reports People.com.

'I ended a relationship to be alone, because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right.'

John Mayer Teams Up With TMZ

John Mayer teamed up with TMZ.com to hit the streets of NYC to spoof his fame and interact with tourists. Mayer played along with people on the streets and sang his songs in an attempt to get recognized. Surprisingly, not too many people bothered him while he was being followed by cameras. It looks like Mayer may be going with the, "if you can't beat em', join em,'" mentality. The video is great though, very entertaining. Check it out!

John Mayer and Pete Wentz enjoyed lunch together in Los Angeles, CA at Magnolia’s Restaurant. Mayer met Wentz after he got in a quick workout at a gym.

Wentz is enjoying time off from his band's touring schedule while Mayer is in the middle of a summer world tour. Wentz, of course, is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first child with popstar wife Ashlee Simpson. Is Mayer still with Jen Aniston?
